Re: drag tire size ?

Slicks work better than drag radials. If these going on an extra set of rims go ahead and just get slicks. Mickey thompson 22x8x15 would be a great size for an auto.

well, unfortunately for this case i've got a 5spd. i've already got some 15x7 wheels, but the tires i have on there are crap. and i would like to get something else on there before friday's meet. what would the best size in a radial be? a 205-55? and i am planning on drag radials this summer, i just wanted something short term.

I've found street tires to be street tires. I pull just as good 60' times on my 205-65 all season generic brand tires as I do on my $180 a piece 235 wide toyo T1-S. You are wasting your money if you buy those, don't bother.

T1-S's really! You feel you don't get great performance from them? Just curious to know.

I get great performance out of them, but there is no difference at the drag strip. It's not about how sticky your street tire is its about your technique.
