What stuff on your cars do you guys change when you go to pass your safety/inspection?
I know i put on the the amber lenses, change all the clear light bulbs for my turns signals to orange and i have yet to have an issue with my tints which are 35% all the way around.

Take it to the right shop. My local tire shop just checks to see if everything is functional.. not if everything is legal. My Dealer on the other hand, always tells me that my lighting is illegal and will not pass me.

Or you can move to Kansas, and not have to worry about inspections.

I'm having my car inspected today 4/23 at noon. New Jersey law requires orange reflectors up front so part of my clear corners had to come out. You only need to take out the side section, you can leave the front piece in. The car doesn't look bad that way either! The side part is the actual orange reflector. Worked last time, I'm sure it'll work this time as well. Emissions and brakes should be just fine.

I accidentally found the right shop to go to once when I had a car with badly misaligned headlights inspected. I intended to have them adjust the headlights prior to the inspection but forgot to tell them. So I get the car back 15 minutes later with a new inspection sticker. No word about the headlights, which I found out later were still way out of adjustment. I wish they were still in business, I wouldn't have to put the cat back on to pass the visual.

Mine is done the Illegal way.

My car would half to go back to stock if I was to pass emissions. That would be a week of constant non-stop work.

You need functional windshield washers to pass inspection.
