I didn't want to mess mine up trying to do it myself, so I put in the money to have it professionally done.

I have done it myself in the past. It looked OK for a while but then started to come off and bubble. Unless you are a professional I would not do it, it's worth it to spend the money. IMO

DIY is a bad idea. A friend of mine owns a window tint shop and I am somewhat of an apprentice. I have been hangin' around his shop for a few years and just recently he has started teaching me. While I know the process, there is no way I would even think of doing my own windows. It is so much harder than it looks and if you want good results, leave it to the pros. My buddy does all one piece back windows, so there are absolutely no seams. It involves heat shrinking the film and a few other tricks to do it. Besides, even if you did try it yourself, the film you buy at autozone, etc. is absolutely worthless. It is a cheap, dyed film that will turn purple within a month. The professional film is metalized and uses very little dye, which is how most shops can offer a lifetime warranty on it for as long as you own the vehicle.
I'll be sure to post a pic of mine as soon as I get time to clean it and take a pic. I have 15% Madico Onyx on it all the way around, it looks great!

BTW, not tryin' to shoot you down or anything, I just want you to be happy w/ the results either way
