Anyway, there's a groupbuy going on here. $40. I might just buy one and try it out. No..I don't mean sticking my intake into a bucket of water and wait. I mean to see if it actually fits. Anyone know the piping size for place racing CAI?

the AEM bypass valve comes in 3inch. maybe we can put it before the MAF connection.. ??

Cheston, I heard it suppose to be in between the throttle body and the last piping.

It doesn't 'stop' water from coming in the filter...

The way it works is that if the CAI filter gets wet, the bypass takes in air from under the hood to help you get by until the filter dries up.

don't you think that defeat the whole purpose of using a COLD air intake?? if it takes the air from under the hood, isn't that the samething as the regular filter?? but you are right, bypass valve takes the air under the hood when itz wet, because it takes more HP to suck in air from the wet filter, but don't you think if i floored the throttle just for the heck of it, the water bypass value will start to take in air under the hood also, eventho my filter is dry?

I don't think that's quite correct. The valve appears to operate when the filter is SUBMERGED, not when it's just wet. It takes less suction to open the valve than it does to draw water up the intake. It's simply a safety valve . . . nothing else. And if I had a CAI and the day ever came when the valve had to open, I'd be real happy to be sucking warm air instead of water!
