what are signs of water pump failing

what are signs of water pump failing

I have a growing puddle under my car in the garage although the car does not overheat or anything and my hoses are all in good shape.....could it be my water pump going out?

temps being ok, the failure of a water pump is usally a leaking seal on the pump itself, due to wear (albeit, normal after approx 50k to 60k miles).
