whine from interior fan

I think I just noticed this today so im not shure if its normal but when you turn on the interior fans with the ac OFF, you can hear the fan blower motor whine with a high pitch like "weeeeeee". I can hear it comming from under the passanger dash foot area and its not loud but you can hear it if your listening for it. is there some sort of capacitor on the motors that block the noise? or maybe the brushes are worn?

I have the same thing. When I bought it from the dealer (used) they relubed the motor and the noise went away for about 2 days, after that, it came back but not as bad, But then again, I have not really been using the climate control due to the spring weather lately. I thnk its something that we have to live with. I think there was a TSB for it and those that had it done still had the noise come back, I hat the noise too but have learned that its just gonna be there for the rest of its life. Oh well.

My blower motor is real noisy but there is a TSB for the 5th gens concerning it, but of course i missed warranty so i just bought a new, supposedly updated, motor and cover. Still gotta install it tho.

I have a cricket as well, but only at low rpms My whine goes away after setting 1 since the fan is spinning faster. I think this is just one of those things you live with.
