Drum roll Please!!!

I just got Susie-Q out of the shop yesterday!! I finally have my car back after almost a year and a half. I still have to fight with Tejas Toyota about work that they need to finish from last year, but at least I have my car back. I am so happy.

Just stuff that was never fixed from the accident. I had another body shop go over the damages and he pointed out that ALL of the welded spots are now rusting, along with a long list of known "shortcuts" that some body shops use. He also was able to show me how to tell if the parts that they used were new or used. (They are all used, even after I specified in writing that I wanted nothing but new OEM part used.) These guys are trying to BS me and tomorrow I am having a meeting with the body shop GM, the dealership GM, and the dealership owner. I have already made up my mind that this will not be pretty anymore. They have had over a year and 3 trips to the shop and it needs to be fixed!! Letting these grease monkeys in uniforms work on my car is the single biggest regret of my life. Somehow I will make it thru all of this. But at least I have my car back in MY posession.

BTW, all you guys who **** and moan about the Maxima's shortcomings need to drive a 150HP autoTRAGIC mustang for a year. Then you can complain.
