Overloaded Jetta is not a fake afterall
Remember that picture of the overloaded Jetta that many say that it was faked. It may be real afterall.

What makes you think it's real??
The fact that it's on an "urban legends" website?
(urban legend is a LEGEND...legends are false)
Or the fact that it's on Jay Leno's "Headlines"?
(BTW: Jay Leno's Headlines are also fake.

PS: nobody could be THAT stupid.....i hope!

I was at my local Home Depot a month or so ago and somebody had done the exact same thing to an old Mustang. The rear bumper was touching the ground, so two guys were jacking the car up and inserting wood blocks between the coils on the suspension so that they could try to drive it. Needless to say, I got the hell outta there before they hit the road!

I've seen this one before! Its a fake. We discussed this extensively on the Jetta list, my other car. The lumber and the Jetta are two different images superimposed using a computer graphics package (just like Hollywood does when making movies). It was a prank done by a computer whiz who worked at Home Depot. Someone on the list got him to admit it. Four of his BIG friends were laying down in the back seat/floor to get that loaded down look and the car picture taken that way. If you notice the rear window roof interface, it would be crushed according to the picture and the rear window would be busted. Also, the tires would be lock against the whheel wells with that load, and the car undrivable.

I concure. Why is the back driver side window not broken, and what's keeping the lumber on the car when it is at the sharp of an angle? I don't believe the picture.
