i had the chance to drive my moms 2001 jetta vr6 5spd for the entire weekend, im sure most of you on the forums dont like the car, but i thought it was real nice especially compared to my car. it feels so much faster then my car, even though the jetta only has 174 hp. i guess the point im tyring to say is my car is such a slow piece of sh*t compared to the jetta.

Yep, they are very quick actually. My friend just got a GTI Golf Vr6 and ran me this past weekend, well since I could not get a good lanch, each time he took me... But I was catching up at the end. Oh well. Just watch out for them.

Let's see, the Jetta is a 2001 model and yours is a 89, 12 years of difference. You're being too hard on your max. The 160 hp that your engine has was very good in 89. The fact that the jetta ony makes 14 more hp than yours is not too good a reflection on the jetta. Of course there's more to it. A 4 valve head. Lighter roomier body etc. Come to think of it, I think Nissan came up with something, the gen 5 Maxima

Your max is a great car. Appreciate it . . . for what it is.
