well the o ring expands if it comes in contact with gasoline. If it still fits in the groove for the o ring ok, then you should be alright.
Otherwise, you're gas tank will try to build pressure, but because of the leak at the o ring, it won't, and you'll smell gas
. Just change it while you're at it... it's 10 bux.
