Got the gauge, how to perform cylinder compression
My friends do it like this on their 4 bangers:
remove all plugs/wires, disconnect the ECU fuse so the fuel doesnt not shoot out. And then crank the car 5 times at WOT and notice the compression.
Is this the right way or there is a better way.
Compression should be 185?
Thank you.

I disconnected the ignition signal that tells the plug coils to fire. I don't think I disconnected the fuel injector harness.

Jeff,
You don't need to EITHER disconnect the injectors OR pull the fuel pump fuse and let it die, first?

Also, do you HAVE to remove all the plugs or can you just remove/replace one at a time? Does it make a difference?

Fuel doesn't shoot anywhere. You could unplug the main injector harness if it worries you. Take all the plugs out. Reason? Because it will make cranking the car over MUCH easier on the battery.

Then the fuel will puddle or shoot out plug hole/exhaust port right?
