Darn paint swirls
Darn paint swirls
Posted this on the 4th gen board as well... Anyone have an easy way to remove clear coat swirls from a buffer? I normally use Meguiars Cleaner Wax, but don't think it is strong enough. I don't, however, want to resort to any rubbing compounds. Any ideas?
Porter Cable 7424 and 3M swirl remover for dark colored cars. Its quite an expense, but well worth the money. The Porter Cable provides a swirl free finish and is virtually idiot proof. The 3M does a nice job of removing swirls. Follow it up with a wax.
BTW...wax does not remove swirls. It will only cover them up, and do a poor job at that since it's not made for coveirng up swirls. Its made for protection.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I know wax won't do the trick, but cleaner wax is a little different because it will remove some deposits in the finish and some fine scratches(one step process).

Zaino worked AWESOME for my black SE, removed swirl marks too. (they weren't that bad to start with)
