Sup ppl,

I'm hearing something that sounds like a loose belt but it's not a loose belt, because I've recently changed mine and the sound is coming from the right side of the engine, more like from under the valve cover. This happends when the car is idleing. The car does run better than ever though I can't figure her out, one day she's alright the next day she's amazing I can't complain though! So, if anyone has a clue let me known plz. Also, my clutch is in need of a change could it be making any noises?

The clutch shouldnt be making any noise at idle. Does it only make noise when you have the clutch pressed in at idle, or is it when the car is just sitting there without the clutch pressed in?

I would recheck belt tension. If thats not it, it could be many other things including timing chain, water pump, etc.

 

It actually sounds like it's coming from under the front valve cover towards the driver's side.
