power wash
power wash
looking of getting a power wash just wonderig any of you guys use this to clean your car and clean your engine bay? if you do use this, what brand do you use and how much psi would you reccomend
Re: power wash
When I had my maxima, I powerwashed it when I worked at a detail shop. You're not going to be holding it to the paint anyways so whatever psi you get is fine... usually 1200 - 2000 (giving a low/high figure, not exact) Power sprayers give you different tips that will either focus or fan out the spray so you're fine. With a fanned out tip, you can actually stick your hand about 1-2 ft in front of the sprayer and it's fine. (try to get a gas powered one)
As far as the engine goes. Cover up your intake, circuit box, and any big wire connectors that are visible. Once again, spray about 2-3 ft away from paint. Don't spray directly at paint or engine parts. Angle the sprayer. (just some small tips)
