Got Hit

Well I got rear ended on the way to work this morning.
The guy behind me in the es300 wasn't paying attention and hit me doing about 20. The damage isn't that bad accept that the exhaust is really loud.

I just had to vent. I was actually happy with my car for the first time in I don't know how long since I had gotten a new suspension and fixed my coil problem. Now the whole cycle starts over

I will make him. Luckily he was a nice guy so I don't think there will be any real problems.

If you get hit from behind it's automatically the other guys fault. Doesn't even matter if it was because you stopped short or anything.. Insurance always sees it that way.

I already made the claim. But they want me to take my car to their body shop, and I am worried that they wont cover the aftermarket parts that my company would have.

You can take the car where you want and they still have to pay. Don't let them muscle you.

My agent says they have to cover my mods since they are covered under my policy, so they have to do everything that my policy would cover if it was my fault. So atleast there is a little comfort.

there is a superb body shop that works wonders just off highway6 (actually on the road between beechnut and the huge ford dealership) I cant remember the name but they worked on a friend of mine's totalled camry...came out looking like nothing happened.
good luck man and dont let it put you down. at least you're okay and that's what counts.
