Diamond Plate Floor Mats

I got some of these from AP Signworks(bought off another org member) and was wondering whats the best way to go about protecting them? Would a couple coats of cleat coat work well and put a layer of wax on top of that? Should I skip the clear coat and just wax them?

Since you got them used, polish them first with metal polish. This will help clean up any little scratches. Then just wax them. You really don't need to clearcoat them, the clearcoat is probably more fragile than the chrome finish on the mats.
