Sup everyone,
Im currantly in the market for new brake pads since mine are shot. How are these pads better than the everyday oem pads you can buy at your local auto parts store??? Im aware that brake dust is an issue with these pads but how much more stopping power will i get with these over oem pads. Finally how is the longevity of the pads under regular daily driving i wont be autocrossing or anything like that. I know this topic is probably beat to death and i appologize sometimes i miss the search function.

I haven't used another pad so I can't comment on that, but overall I'm pleased with my Metal Masters. I put them on 2 years (30k) ago, and they've held up well. I don't know exactly how much more life is left on them, but I'll check it out and let you know. These pads have made it through 7 autocrosses and several trips to the drag strip, so they're pretty durable.
I may try Hawk pads as my next set because I'm looking to improve my autocross braking performance. I would say Metal Masters are middle of the road pads; pretty good performance, average dust, and average life.
