I recently bought an high current alternator from an oorg member, the guy has a 97 i30 i figured the alternator should bolt up, but my mechanic says the adapter is a 3 prong adapter which our maxes are a 2 , and that the thing doesnt look like it bolts up. can the adapter be changed? I thought there was no difference in the parts.

What year was the I30? They should both be the same I would think? The I30 and the Max both have the VQ so I would think it would have the same alternator setup.

i put a 98 i30 alternator on my 97 with no problems
