Colder intake air idea.

CO2 to cool intake manifold?
This idea is still pretty fresh in my head. I haven't put a whole lot of thought into it. How about putting a line (metal brake/fuel line)in front of the intake manifold, right above the front injectors. This line would have a row of small holes in it, pointing toward the manifold. Line would be hooked to a nitrous solenoid but instead of nitrous, run CO2 through it so it would spray the outside of the manifold and cool it off. It's a lot like the NX kit that sprays the intercooler to cool it off. Here's my questions though:
1) How would this affect A/F ratios with the ECU seeing warmer air up by the MAF/Intake Air Temp Sensor and then the air is colder when it gets inside the manifold?
2) How much danger in cracking the manifold with the sudden extreme temp change?
3) Would it really lower the temps that much to make it that noticeable?
The reason I thought of this is because a few of the import drags I enter are in the middle of the summer. My car is a complete dog when it's hot outside and I was trying to think of a way to lower my intake temps and still stay in the N/A class. At the beginning of the year my intake temp would read around 80 on my Techtom. I went out last Friday and the never dropped below 130! The best I got that night was a 15.4.
Any thoughts?
