i want to install racing seats in my 2001 max...
probably the sparco torinos... but i want to know where i can get the rail and the rack underneath...
do i just go back to the dealer and get the rail for the maximas with no power seat??

Buy the Sparco rails?!?!

 

Ya buy the Sparco rails, I tried to adapt the stock max rail and its a real biatch. Besides if you are trying to reduce weight, using stock rails is not the way to do it.

The only good thing about using the stock rails is that you can use the stock bolt holes and the seat belt snap.

I only made the drivers side moveable the passenger side is fixed because the fixed rail is lighter and I don't really car about my passengers comfort, if they want to ride there they can live with what I have.

 

corbeau seats up front here. about $70 each for the brackets, but they're worth it for ease of installation. very much worth the difference in time it would take me to build them myself. (plus the need for a welder)

 

How would you get past the SRS light? It's going to come on once you remove the seats with side air bags.

 

Kev, i am also wondering that as i bought 2 new seats with sliders. M question is, should i make brackets to fit the sliders, or buy some brackets to fit the sliders? thanks
