hmmm, more rapage

my a$$hole is flaming!

They found out the harness going to my ECU is corroded and stuff. NOt sending power to ecu or what they call "ecm" properly. To get a new one cost 1800 + 800 labor or i can have the one i have repaired for 697 + tax. PLus this doesnt guarantee car is fine, just needs to be done to get power to ECU.

More baby powder please, i'm developing a rash from the doggystyle movement put on my rectum

Can't you just get one from that Junkyard that you went to for the ECU? I would look at a junkyard for one and replace it myself before spending that much cash.

yea i could but i dont know what condition its in plus they might start their bs with the harness is still messed up...i dont even know anymore, they can rape me all they want because i'm not there to see anything. I just hope this is the only problem but i got a feeling it isnt. Atleast with their repair i'm fully warrantied...

I'm with Jeff on this...rather than pay even $700 (697) I would go to a junk yard and get the freaking part myself for less than $100, cause they're prolly gonna junk that anyways...and see if its usable. I doesn't make sense to pay that much not to fix the problem. Also, see if you can trace that to the source of the problem with the ECU being fried, I'm sure its connected somehow. Also Mecca, how are things going with you and the stuff we were discussing via email. Let me know.

O

MAJOR UPDATE

car is running again. Everything seems to be fine. My main and only concern is my rpm which might be right and i may just be worrying over nothing. It idles differently. It stays more at .5-.6 rpm and if i drive real hard for a long period of time it stays at like .8 ish. If i rev high, it drops down to .4-.5 and goes back to .5-.6. not sure if this is normal...

Other then that, after 3-4 days of waiting and spending 680 dollars to fix after tax and after 10% off coupon, my car is back and running and warrantied against any electrical problems having to do with harness/ecu.

The problem was that there are 5 wires from the fuse box going to the ecu for power. 3 of mine were damaged/corroded through battery acid getting over them, water, who knows and were not giving out any power. I guess they spliced them or whatever but they fixed the problem, something that wacka$$ amoco could not do.

In total i lost 350+150+680 = 1180 dollars but my car seems to be running fine again.

Moral of the story, when it comes to electrical problems, do it yourself or leave it to the experts and make sure your wires are cleaned...
