I don't know if you seen these. I have seen them on Mustangs and Supras. They are basically highly polished stainless steel pipes that have the same bends and dia. as the OEM radiator hoses. You attach them to the radiator necks and engine block via slicone sleeves like the ones on the CAI. They just look cool and I guess these pipes will never rupture like a hose.

I don't know. They aren't any available for the max. I'm going to call MaxRev see if they can make these. I'm just checking to see if any else would be interested.

hey

you could try getting the ones Summit offers. They are universal and you can get the chrome end clamps too. You juss need to know how long your radiator hoses are. I think their 20 or 30 bucks. I forget...

i just bought a SS hose kit for $60 at a local shop. I called Greddy and a few others who make SS hose's and nobody makes the "real" thing for the maxima's yet, cause there is no demand for them. I say buy a kit like i did and you will have the same look.

I know the ones you are talking about. I have the catalog at home. They are not $20 - $30 =) More like $75 - $100, plus it's even more expensive with polished clamps. That's why I thought this would be a cheaper alternative.

Re: I would be interested, check to see how the heat retention is compared

I'll ask, but I don't think heat is an issue. The rubber hoses aren't meant to disspate heat. That's the radiator job? Actually it's the heat that kills the rubber and eventually cause it to crack or rupture. That's why Silicone replacement hoses are more robust.
