Remote Starter Wiring
#1
Just wondering for those of you who have remote starters in their 4th gens... I am familiar of how to wire a remote start, I did it with my old Camry. But my main question here is is the setup the same way? There was a single "hot" always on wire, the IGN wire, the starter wire, the accessory wire and the ground wire. Or is the maxima one of those cars with more then one ignition wires? I do realize that it isnt supposed to be done on a stick, but I am going to see if I can make some sort of safety inhibit switch. Also, I am going to incorporate this into my factory alarm system. Does anybody have a copy of the wiring schematic of the starter/ign system? I need to wire the starter after the clutch safety switch.

yeah, our cars have two starter wires.. the only thing involved is to hook up a relay inline with the second starter wire..
as for the clutch thing, I'm sure you can hook up a relay in the clutch safety switch to tell the car you've got the clutch depressed when you start or something...
and here's a link to alll the wiring diagrams for the maxima.. yours will be in there somewhere.
(btw, you'll need both versions in order to get all the wires you'll need.)
