***PICS*** Got bored, decided to....

Flip-Flip my trunk lid

Took a couple hours to bend/cut some steel hinges so they'd fit right, and figure out how to fasten them so they'd be strong enough.

Here's a few pics:

Ant- I can't imagine how many people are gonna stop and ask questions now that we'll have two flip-flops right next to each other. It was bad enough with just yours, lol. The chrome is going to make people freak

mecca- Thanks bro. I have plenty of performance mods for now....it's all show mods for the time being. 7" Microvision will be here tomorrow and Pioneer DVD/CD/MP3 got here yesterday. Both going in the car tomorrow night, along with Playstation

uncdood- I'm glad you like it. It's sharp looking. I had already sent my FSTB out to be chrome dipped, so I had no use for the CM.com one

***I wouldn't even be able to do a write up on how I made the custom hinge for this project, and how I mounted it. Sorry guys***

Why does your car look photochopped? I can see the aliasing around the front bumper and wheels.

gosh.. the flip flop trunk mod is a "me 2" mod now.

looks good tony, i am working hard to get that chrome back to you asap.. it ended up costing more to have it stripped and sanded completely smooth, but I took care of the extra money.

One tip. If you aren't going to be showing the lid off often ride with the trunk bolts in. This will help keep the hinges from warping and making your trunk lid sit crooked.

NightRider- I know this. I'll only remove the main bolts when I want to flip-flop the lid. Otherwise you'd never even know I had this mod done

Sadler- Thanks buddy, you know I appreciate everything. I love chrome!!

Tony the car looks great and now with the trunk mod all you need is a big bottle of NOS.

i wanted to do this to my car, i even asked anthony about a month ago but i rather take it to some-one that knows how to do it. next time you have nothing to do come down & do my trunk.
