Hi peoples. A few of us have formed the #maxima channel on EFnet, which is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network. It's basically a chat channel just for Maxima talk! Any generations welcome! The channel has been around a while, we're still growing!

Okay, some of you are newbies to IRC, so here's what you do.

1. Go to www.mirc.com and download mIRC32. It's free! Read some FAQs there to learn about how it works
2. Install the program
3. Run mIRC32
4. Type in (without quotes) "/server irc.daxnet.no" in mIRC
if you can not connect to the server, try these commands to change different servers:
"/server irc.desync.com"
"/server irc.vrfx.com"
"/server irc.arcti.ca"
"/server irc.mpls.ca"
"/server irc.prison.net"
5. Type in (without quotes) "/join #maxima"
6. Chat away! Enjoy!

I think its pretty cool to have a channel on mIRC. I'll be idling in there...know of any other car channels?
