Homepage warnings

I feel that there should be some sort of warning by the member that says whether his page contains offensive material. I say this, because I saw a few pages that could get someone fired from their job if viewed at work.
For example, the owner of a 350z clearly states that his page contains material suitable for adults only. Seen here
I don't feel that this is too much to ask, and could prevent a very bad situation arising for someone who surfs this site from work! Thanks!

Matt Wilson

Ditto. I have run across a few posts that have bordered on racy. However, now that I'm home I looked at every filthy pic

I wonder why car domain allows this?

I agree, how is all that related to CarDomain and cars? CarDomain should moderate a little better. They should also know that people are using it for pornography. What a perv.

That guy is pretty stupid (the 350z site) he took a bunch of copywritten **** pictures and posted them on his page, if the owners wanted to they could potentially sue him.

BUT, I was just pointing out that he warned people. I don't care if they were his g/f, or copywritten ****. I just wanted to make a point that he did warn people. I didn't really expect anyone to open his link anyway!

Well, I have a pic of my fiancee with my cat. That has nothing to do with cars. I agree with you almost totally. Cardomain.com should be used for cars, but also family, pets, interests(appropriate for anyone 16 yrs old). A kid gets a car, and what does he want to do??? He wants to see others just like it. Do a search on google, and one of the sites, I'm sure, will be cardomain.com! He sees this site with "Phat Porsche", opens it, and **** is sitting right there

I say screw 'em if they hit stuff like that while goofin off on the web at work, it makes for comedy at their expense. That's the price they pay for taking that liberty on company time. I do my share of surfing, but there are some folks where I work that are clearly addicted and collecting a paycheck to bid up fru fru on e-bay all day

I'm a network manager, you'd be amazed at the level of detail we can pull on staff web usage. We bring the reports to our status meetings and laugh our butts off. I'm always amazed that the folks that whine the loudest for new PCs because they "need more power to get their job done", spend 70% of their day on e-bay or QVC.

Amways, it's a rough world out their folks, watch yer back. I don't see warning signs for pot holes on the road, don't expect them in cyber space either.

Hey ITdood, I wasn't expecting the entire web to be pornproof. I was just saying that it seems pointless to have a car site if you are just going to post pics of nudity! My entire night at work, practically, is sitting on my a$$. I am a night-shift operator at an insurance company, and there isn't too much to do. I mainly spend my time on Maxima.org, Cardomain.com and Hotmail.com. I am not your typical "B!tch and not work" person. I have seen them all too often. I wouldn't think it to be funny if I got fired for someone's cardomain.com site having naked chicks & whatnot!

Are you talking to me? Are you trying to be an a$$? I am not bragging. I am merely saying that some people, such as myself, don't spend their "work time" on the net. I spend my down time on the net, and my work time working.

No, I'm not talking to you. I totally agree with what your saying. There was a post that was there before it was deleted that was showing a picture of one of those chicks. I was saying that to the post that was there.

No. I missed that part. That is a hell of a lot of hits. And you know that 99.9999% of those hits were for the warning he had!

Easy fix, just don't go to the person's homepages. You are at work anyhow, they aren't paying you to be on the web.
