500 mi. on exedy clutch... wow it's soft

alright well, i just hope that's how it will last for at least another 60-100k miles, considering i don't drive too hard at all. Now w/ 500 miles on my clutch, i'm a bit worried if the softness is normal or not. It sorta feels like my previous CenterForce clutch when it started to slip. Either way, I love the feeling of the clutch, i just hope it stays like that and doesn't get any softer!

i've looked into the Exedy as well. have not gotten one yet, but prior posts about it on the 3rd gen forums have information that corroborates that it is soft but grips like a demon. as if it is soft, then suddenly grips with amazing force. so i figure the softness is characteristic of Exedy.

and everyone loves it.

i have 1200+ mi. on it and I'm loving it. It is soft, but makes it easier for my daily driving

And, it grips like hell

Yes, but I find it much nicer than the stock clutch and I like the feel for daily driving. When you get on it though it is some much stonger than the stock clutch, I can chirp 3rd gear with my 17's with new tires on.
