Foglight Rewire?

This has most likely been asked before, but I just purchased my Maxima and am wondering if there is a way to keep the fog lights on while your high beam are also on.

Thanks

Yes there sure is. If you want them to run independent of everything, wire them to the battery instead of the parking lights
That way you can turn the fogs on/off anytime you want.

I did this mod a few weeks ago and it works well. Just stay away from the wire taps. They're a little too "Mickey Mouse". Get some butt connectors. They're a lot easier to work with.

I have done 20+ of these rewires with the taps and they work fine?

I'm gonna do my fog rewire sometime soon. What are wire taps? I know what butt connectors are.

Mickey Mouse is somewhat of an old-skool term--meaning kinda cheap.
I don't know why. My dad uses this term.

Be sure to wire the fogs into the headlight curcuit. That way you can't drain the battery by mistakenly leaving the fogs on. I've got mine wired so when the parking lights are flipped on the fogs automatically come on as well and stay on with: parks, heads, and brights.

Mickey Mouse as a term must be generational.
Ah, what legacy of slanf will we leave behind?

I think wiring into the accessory is the best, that way you can have the fogs on only, w/ out the parking lights either...but still not risk accidentally leaving them on while the car is off.

LOL. I never thought about the Mickey Mouse thing being generational. My Dad always uses that saying so it's stuck with me.

If you're like me, you like being able to turn the fogs on with NO other lights, therefore you have to tap into a constant off the battery. Yes, you can forget and leave them on but that's what you gotta deal with.

Thanks for the compliments on the heads and fogs guys, I love them too, just a lot of $$$

Oops...slang, not slanF. I guess Mickey mouse will be memetically perpeuated.

Now...time to save up for those HID fogs.
