got a surprise in the mail today

Today the mailman delivered something interesting to me. It was a Frankecar intake with the Apexi filter. I did order one a few months ago, but asked for a refund because I changed my mind and because I knew there would be a backorder for the Apexi filter. It took awhile, but eventually, Steve did refund the money. So I was surprised that I got this today. Why I still got it is beyond me.

I know I could easily just keep quiet and keep the intake. Or I could just sell the intake off and make some money. However, first of all, I'm not that type of person. I'm not the type that would take advantage of someone, even if it's their mistake. I know I wouldn't want that happen to me if I make a similar mistake. Secondly, I'm slowly getting out of the modding business. I don't want to install this on my car anyway. Besides, my hacked stock air box isn't too bad. I'm in the process of getting a 5th gen muffler to quiet things down a bit. Currently, I have an Apexi WS exhaust. It's quiet already, but I want it as close to stock as possible now.

I'm certain that I got the refund and Frankencar didn't charge me for another intake. I doubled checked my Paypal account just to be certain. So, Steve if you read this, or if someone could pass this onto him for me, I'm going to return the intake to you as soon as I can.

I live in Louisiana, not California. I ordered this intake a long, long time ago. If I paid for this intake and just now got it, I would be really angry. I'm not sure if I should just send it back now or wait until I get some sort of feedback from Steve?

Well, I just emailed Steve telling him about this. However, as you guys know who know when he'll check it. That's why I posted this here. Hope that one of you know Steve personally and can tell him this. Before anyone asked, I'm not doing this to "look good" by any means.

Yes this one did come with decals. Sorry but I can't sell them to you. I'm going to return everything, so that will include the decals.

this is quite noble of you. but before you go returning it, just talk to steve and make sure all the finances are straightened out.

maybe they will let you keep the decals for your honesty

very nice to know there are still honest people in this world. i bet most people including me would have just kept it and wrote it off to having to wait so long that you deserved it anyway.
