Hokiemax gets a new car.

Hi guys. Just wanted to give an update on my new ride! I realize there are lots of new guys on the board and hokiemax might not sound too familiar to you guys, but there still are veterans and I'd like to let you guys know about my new ride! It's been an awesome 5 years and 150,000 miles on the maxima org. But dont worry. I'm not leaving. I still have my 98 SE.

oh the new car I got is 2003 honda s2000. this go-cart is a blast to drive. I love it!!

the color I got is.......

white!!

JUST KIDDING~ I got silver. I was gonna get white because I love white cars, but s2000s looked better in silver. I'll post pics later. I was deciding between the s2000 and the 350z, and it was REALLLLLY hard decision. but now I actually have the new car, I have no doubts this was the right car over the 350z for me.

You should have waited and got the 04, It has a 2.2 liter engine instead of the 2.0.

I wouldn't be able to afford the 04, as they will more than likely sell at MSRP. and I heard it MIGHT have a slightly lower redline than the 00-03's 9000.. but thats not what kept me from waiting for the 04. Trust me, the moment I drove it off the dealer lot, all the doubts/worries/thoughts about the 350Z / 04 S2000 and etc etc disappeared !! This is my first car with leather seats, HID, RWD, LSD, and a drop down top and my first honda too ! and as u know, coming from the maxima's awesome torque world, I thought the s2000 will be very weak before the VTEC kicks in. But its not. Its very plenty enough for my daily local driving. I thought the 5spd Preludes felt like a V6! They have incredible throttle response, and the s2000 is even better. Maybe I'm just getting old. lol. I dont drive as fast as I used to.

They're putting in 2 more cylinder's and all they're getting is .2 more displacement? Sounds odd to me, all I recall is that power is supposed to be around 330hp and supposedly lighter than a miata. But 2.2? I thought BMW's 2.3 was small??? Peace_

OK However, the new s2000 will have six cylinders. Hence, my confusion as to where 2.2 came from....

I have a question about your new car. Do you fit in it? I heard they have no leg room whatsoever!

Honestly, if I could push the seat back further, I would. This car feels like a go cart and it makes you sit like you're in a go cart. haha. I'm about 5'11" and 195 lbs and its not that comfortable for me. There are S2000 owners who's like 6'3" and 230 lbs and they say they are very comfy in their s2ks. I dont know what they're talkin about. but all this dont matter once you're sitting in the car. NO DOUBTS NO WORRIES. I'm not regretting the purchase at all !
