My carparts.com order when they had the 33% off special coupon from 1/19 to 1/21:

OPTIMABATTERIES 34-1050 Red Top™ Starter 1 $129.95 Order shipped 1/22/01
TRICO 24-1 EXACT FIT BLADE 1 $13.86 Order shipped 1/22/01
AUTO SPECIALTY 23-503-01 F BRAKE PAD-METALMASTE 1 $49.90 Order shipped 1/24/01
AUTO SPECIALTY 23-430-01 F BRAKE PAD-METALMASTE 2 $93.91 Order shipped 1/24/01
TRICO 19-1 EXACT FIT BLADE 1 $8.09 Order shipped 1/22/01

$295 normally.....got it for $227 after shipping (that dang battery was around $18 to ship!)

Optima Red Top (for 94 Maxima) was about $105 delivered
503 Metalmaster pads (for 99 TL) was about $37 delivered
430 Metalmaster pads (for 94 and 99 Maximas) was about $67
Wiper Blades were about $18 delivered (hard to find that 24" one for the TL!)

Maybe I should order stuff for Cheston.....

Just wanted to share some good press for these guys rather than the bad press they usually get here.....

Dealing with the computer is fine.. just pray you dont have to speak with a customer representative.

that's the only bad part of CarParts.com is that they have freakin' morons at the telephone lines.

great thing that you got your stuff Bill!

too bad u didn't get $500 worth of lightbulbs for only $50. (like hmm... me? haha)

***Bill on the phone with a carparts.com representative*****

Seriously, if I ever had to talk with one of them, I would probably lead a campaign to shut down their business.....

Just curious isn't that expensive? Tricos are $6.97 here in Beantown and I'm not sure about the battery but over $100? Seems like it's quicker to just run to the store unless you're avoiding tax, but then you pay shipping?

Well.....

Between the availability problems (especially during wintertime), tax, and a minimal extra charge for shipping (I worked the calculations out to what effect getting the blades had on shipping, etc.), it was a wash so I went ahead and got them.....

In our area, that $7 price is for 20" and below, the $8 price is for 21" and 22", and the $9 price is for 23" and above.....
