Got one of my 300ZX seats installed today (pics)

I had to fabricate some kind of new way to mount the seats in there, since the legs are different heights thanstock seats. this was a cheesy way of doing it, but the job is done.
I will redo the bracket on the front corner of the seat later.. probably next weekend when I get a chance to do the other seat. the brackets should be hardly noticeable when I get done.
I may even be able to afford to get them redone in matching leather with the money I have leftover from the wreck.. that's if I'm really lucky with the body shop!
I think I'll even still have room to put my CD changer back under the seat when I'm done! woohoo!
well, here's the pics.

very nice but what are you going to do about the rear?
I was thinking about puting different seats in my max but I dont know what would look right with my stock cloth rear seats. So many things to think about. geez.

Have you ever seen that black maxima on here with the prelude seats? I personaly like em better in the 4th gen or maby since the seats and inside were both black they just blended in. Did you just get an awsome deal on the seat or did u just take what ever color you could get your hands on?

If things go as planned, I'll have enough insurance money left to redo the whole car in leather when I get it back from the body shop.
The quote the insurance company gave me was $2500 to fix everything. roughly $1000 parts and $1000 labor, and $400 paint.
Wellll, I've spent $200 in parts and have almost everything I'll need. another $100-200 and I'll have all the parts paid for. $1200 to paint, and I'm up $700 in the end. I'll need $800 to redo the whole car in leather. Damn salvage yards are cool.
As for the available colors and stuff, the tan in the 300zx is not the same tan that's in the Maxima. it's a much richer color.. it's got more orange or red in it than my car, so even if I had bought the tan seats, they wouldn't have matched and I'd have to recover them anyway.
Plus these were the right price. I bought them because the leather was in bad shape and needed redone anyway. that makes them half the price of good seats. not bad for a $300 mod, eh?
