How big are they compare to the OEM?->

What's the flow rate? I don't really need them. If it looks cool, I might get them. LOL. Good for people running SC or dry nos kit.

the fuel rails look pretty nice. Ummm, if people are seriously interested then im gonna send him a sample fuel rail and he'll start to make them. They can support up to 1000hp. I want it for my turbo setup. Anyone else interested???

MaximaMike, for the VE motor youll need to send a sample of your fuel rail. Unless their the same?

Hey Turbo,

Can they be made like the 5th gen runers?

With the 4th gen set up the front runner feeds the back wich causes leanness on the rear cylinder bank for high fuel pressure aplications like S/C's or dry nitrous. On the 5th gen set up each runner gets its own feed line from the pump an a seperate return. Perhaps the larger volume rails will over come this issue but it would be nice to do it right.

I'm probabbly in for a set either way.

ahhhh

im glad there is interest in this, Hopefully when its time to pay up people will still be around. heeh

MardisGrasMax, that sounds interesting, i do need a 5th gen sample tho. I have 4th gen sample lying around so i was gonna send him that one but if i were to do the 5th gen, i need a sample. The 5th gen bolts onto the 4th? are you sure of this? Can you also send me a pic of the JUN AN fitting you got? thanks. Ill talk to the guy and see what i can do and ill check on the end for fuel pressure regulators or gauge. Will update soon! too much stuff to do.

I would be interested

especially if it is done right and SC'ed applications can benefit from this. How much can stock injectors flow? Can we put bigger injectors on or are they just for the stock sizing? No need for a biffer fuel rail if the stock injectors are flowing as much as they can already. Could you check this out for me as I am really interested in upping the fuel if possible on my SC Max

Re: I would be interested

In order to use bigger injectors, you need some how retune your fuel map. Either by JWT ECU or trick the ECU with Apex i Super AFC or Field's SFC.

I took a looked at my car today and i believe you need to take the upper intake manifold off to get to the fuel rails.

It's a 5 hours job. While you at it, might as well throw on a polished upper intake manifold =)

Turbo,

It would be nice if the rails could be made so the ends of each rail has an NPT hole that you can attach the adpter you want to them. So if you want to loop them like the 4th gen you can or do a seperate in and out on each rail like the 5th gen you can. This way you could also do AN or hose barb fittings.

Keven97SE did the research on the 5th gen rails. But I would bet they will bolt up just like the 4th gen.

I dont have any pictures of the JUN regulator off fitting not installed. But the part you cant see thats inside the fuel rail looks just like the same part on the factory FPR. It has a small extension with an o-ring on it.

perf. gains and install time

hey turbo count me in for a blue one if there are gains to be made...i have the same concerns as everyone else basically, and i really wanna know bout bigger injectors, cuz im planning on going to 300zx TT injectors (heard they were 370 flow, thats plenty for me) so if those fit and the install time isnt superhigh, definatly ill be in...and when it comes time to pay, i will pony up

ok

im considering checking out the 5th gen fuel rails but if ic cant get a sample and not 100% sure itll bolt up im not gonna persue this. 4th gen uses side mount fuel injectors. Im not so sure the 5th gen uses side mount. Ok, 300ZX TT fuel injectors are stock replacements for the Max so with the fuel rail the 300ZX fuel injectors fit cause their stock replacements. Will update as i obtain more info.

turbo, say what?

hey, are you saying that the injectors for a 300zx TT are the same injectors currently in our 4th gens? if so...maybe it was the NA 300zx with the bigger injectors. i definatly remember someone one here saying they were going to replace theirs with 370cc 300zx injectors....hmmmmmmmmm

hey turbo, also, i went on venom-performance.com to check out their nitrous kits, and they make a fuel rail for my year (97) i didnt check too much for anything else.

What Turbo is saying is that the 300Z TT injectors are a direct drop in, on the 4th

Gen maxima. And not all 300Z TT (370CC) injectors will fit, I forget what year but I think its the 92-93 and up 300Z's, the prior year will not fit, or once again I forget the year ~95-96 Q45 injectors. the 4th gen are diff. Injectors, but these other injectors will directly drop in the place of the current ones. You must also remembe that you would need your ECU reprogrammed, or your car will not start, so only consider this if you have a 95-96 Maxima, and I would go with JWT to do the ECU.

yea

the 300ZX TT injectors are 370cc. i have these with a JWT ECU custom program. These will go in when my new motor goes in. I picked them up from a 95 300ZX TT. i heard that the stock 4th gen injectors are 249cc. Im gonna check the 5th gen fuel rails tomorrow so ill be sure bout that. i still seem to remember them being top feed fuel injectors not side feed...
