40 hrs...damn good job!!
Glad everything worked out for you! Is stock compression supposed to be 175? I had 170 on most cylinders but 2 (like 167 or 168)...I just hope the engine holds and that I don't have to go through what you did, although that must have been quite a learning experience!

The pressure plate was just being pinched against the flywheel, which is ok.
