Well Bad News, Max Stolen
Well Bad News, Max Stolen
Went to the gym the other night. Came out saw my tinted window on the floor and the max was gone. As I talk about it I get sick to my stomach.. Worst part is I was at the gym so all my **** was in there. My wallet, camera, workbag, clothes in the trunk, sunglasses, you name it. Damn car was just paid off fully 3 month's ago. Sorry guys, real bad time for me. By the way any good reveiws on the Saab 93?

sorry to hear about that man...that really sucksdid you have your cell phone in the car?..if so, the theives might be stupid and make some phone calls on there, you can go to your cell phone company and they can tell you all the calls that went out, just worth a shot...hope you get it back
Honestly I don't want it back. It makes me sick to even know that the thugs were in my car and beating on it. I will never feel the same driving it again. I am already in dealerships looking around. Damn I miss my max, new cars are not even worth it, so much damn money. I did have my cell in there but they did not make any calls. Also my EZ pass was in there but I guess they didnt go through any tolls.. Mother ****er this sucks.

I spent a month working the auto Web sites hard (autotrader.com, yahoo.com, etc.) looking for a 5th Gen Max with a manual transmission. I found three with 200 miles, and checked them all out. I ended up getting an 02 SE loaded with 18K miles for $18,400 from an exotic cars dealer in Columbus, Ohio, where it had come in on a trade for Beemer. They knew I was looking for one, since i had called on an 01 there, and we worked it out all over the phone. I bought it sight unseen, which is a leap, but the cars are so scarce I didn't want to let it go.
My point is, there are values out there, you just have to work. BE VERY CAREFUL with dealers selling newer ('02 and '03 Maximas) with 20K+ miles ... check the titles and visual wear, because they almost certainly going to be fleet (read: rental) cars. CarFax is not infallible, but the one thing it does say is how the car was titled. Look for a one-owner, private party.
Sorry about your sled, man. Good luck in your search.

NO!!!!!!!! errrrrrrr.
man I'm sorry.. I can't believe that. My car looks just like yours, Neptune blue you hardly see that color!! what a pretty color this makes me ****ed, I want to fly to jersey and hunt these low lifes.I hope you find it.
Will EZ-Pass contact the Police if a car they know is stolen passes through a toll? Is there a cop near the toll to catch people who blow through?
I hope they find it burned out. That way the insurance will pay up, and you can get a new car withouth constantly thinking about the thieves raggins on your car and will the engine crap out... A friend of mine got his car back - 1 year later (3yo) the engine dies (he's an old grandad, so it's not his driving style). Dealer cites abusive driving after the teardown - no warranty. Insurance refuses to acknowledge it was part of the original theft claim. He's left with a 3yo car with no engine, and had to pay $5k for a new engine from the dealer...

I used to see your max like every day driving by the street that you parked it, I always admired it too. Im sorry to hear that its gone, perhaps you can find something you like - did you have insurance?
hopefully you had a full coverage with low deductable? If yes, then you are one lucky ****. Claim everything you had on the car and everything you wanted to be in the car lol, you will get paid nicely and buy a very nice car.
Sorry to hear that sh*t happen to you.
I agree with Y2KMaxGXE-R on the insurance issue. A buddy of mine had his WRX stolen but he had lojack on the car. Cops found his car in 30 minutes in the neighboring town. It was on it's belly with a broken door, jacked up ignition, rims/tires gone, strut bars gone. He said, in hindsight, he should have waited to call the cops so the thugs could have stripped the car completely. That way the insurance company could have declared it a total loss and he gets money for a new car. BTW - this happend in Newark, NJ.

Woah this shti scares me I live in NJ as well, Central NJ, you have to get an alarm with a pager. Didn't your car have the factory immobilizer system? Like when someone breaks in the car doesn't start?
Just think about it, what are the odds of your car will be stolen? You do not need to spend thousands of $$ on all these fancy alarms and immobilizers! It is not worth it - your insurance premiums in most cases will not go down. I am especially against lowjack - if your car is stolen you are better off having it never found. The pro car thief will steal your car or strip it regardless if you have alarm or not. Just make sure to maintain the full coverage insurance is all you can do.
Damn that does suck man. Are the stories true then bout new jersey. I remember back in the day the movie new jersey drive. Kinda sucks now. If ya want I got some extra grenades over here with me, I can send em yer way to hook someone up, see I dont get much action anymore now that the major conflict is over here in the middle east. All we do now is watch out for incoming mortars. But yea makes me kinda worried about my max when I get home cause after being here ill have enough to dump about 12000 into it and not even blick, the works. Full turbo and all. But sorry for yer lose man hope ya find something to replace yer broke heart
D@mn sorry to hear that. I know the sinking feeling you get when you realize that someone has invaded your car.
What is the deal with Jersey??? People's HID's are being stolen like crazy and now they are taking the whole car, that just sucks.
Good luck with the future. Like someone else said claim everything that was in the car and on the car. You should come away OK and be able to buy somthing better. 90% of the cars that you read about in magazines that belong to average joes were bought with insurance money because there previous car was stolen. Do your homework and get somthing that you will really enjoy, let us know how it turns out.

I'm sure most people here will agree that they have personal attachments to their cars. Money is money. Our cars are something different...
Is it safe to assume that you don't have any smoke detectors in your home? I mean, hey, who cares if the place burns down. You can just collect insurance and buy a new house right? Heh.
