this is something my dad and i installed on his car today. he's going to take it to the track and wants to film his runs so we made this camera mount. pretty easy, just mark off where the u-bolts should go, drill the holes with a cobalt bit, and put some rubber wherever metal contacts metal to keep it from marring the headrest posts. i know this isn't a maxima -- just thought i'd share the idea in case anyone is interested.
yeah that's a tripod that mounts on the roll cage of his track car. the bmw is his normal car so there's no cage, and we had to put that bar in there instead. i didn't even think about the tripod... i.e. i guess it's not quite so "diy" after all.

hmm.. I have a tripod. I'll try to see if i can set it up in there with the legs extended then have a bar holding the tripod. The legs being extended should add more stability to the camera
DO NOT get caught with a camera with you on the streets. Looks good tho. I was thinking about the tripod and 2 legs on the floor then the other on the seat, haven't tryed it yet tho
