That really sucks dude, but I'm very glad that you and your girlfriend are OK. It looks like your girlfriend's feet were crushed.

Unfortunately, it looks like your Maxima is totalled. There are just a lot of cracked pieces, and the cost will add up quickly. Hopefully you'll catch the driver of the 3rd gen. Maxima and he will cover the cost of another Maxima.

Best of luck.

jesus, I know you're a **** mod and all, but get a sense of humor. We all knew that it was a joke made to releive a little of Nupe's stress

Nupe, sorry to hear about it man. I really hope your g/f heals 110%.

I don't know about any other states, but in Washington hit and run is a felony. If you do eventually figure out this guy's information, make sure you prosecute him - this was a serious, easily could have been fatal accident and he needs to learn his mistakes from bubba.

Nupe, I'm about 90% sure the car is totalled. The two airbags and minor damage would probably ensure that. But you have some pretty major body damage also. The bent upper door frame is a big clue. So start your total loss value NOW. Before you get the insurance involved. Despite WHO is going to front the replacement $, you will want to get full value. There will be a good chance that the 3-gen guy WON'T have insurance or much $. Read these and start the research:
http://www.claimcoach.com/index.htm?...tm~bottomright (good for ref)
http://www.insurance.wa.gov/oic/contact.asp (might need the one in YOUR state if you get diicked around by your/their insurance company)
http://www.stephencryanpc.com/about.html (read this!)
http://www.consumersautodetective.co...settlement.htm (also good ref info)

You are not alone my friend http://community.webshots.com/album/64902083oJatlG

Knowledge is Power, Use what Jeff gave you and Hit the insurance hard, and as far as i know hit and run is a felony almost everywhere, I hope you get that bastard...I hope his conscience is EATING him ALIVE right now, He/she more than deserves it, he coulda killed someone...
GAH, I woulda let him hit my I think, but in the heat like that, its only natural to dodge...
I wish you the BEST OF LUCK, Hopefully justice is served and remember to keep your head up, it was only a car, and it can be replaced...you and your girlfriends health is worth so much more...

I can try to help

nupe500,

Did you by chance get the license plate number from the witness? I'm in the NE section of philly a lot visiting my friends, and if I happen to see the 3rd gen max, I'll be sure to contact the police for ya.

Those pictures look rough. Sorry that happened. It's a scary thing when those airbags deploy.

I actually have a good discription of the car and the police report cited that someone called 911 with their tag number which I now have. I just have to read through the links Jeff posted and send a form to the DMV to get his information. Apparently he must have just registered the car because its not in the computer system yet.

Thanks all...

Did u get the police report yet? DO they have the license plate of the other vehicle?

Did you drop to liability BEFORE the accident? So you aren't gonna get paid by your own insurance??
