Finally dropped the Max and man am I happy.....

First I want to say that I don't know what some of you guys have been complaining about with the AGX/H&R combo. Me and a coworker installed these in a few hours (just took our time to make sure things were installed correctly).
Took this baby for a spin and all I could say was, "OMG!" The ride is the way I wanted it, not too stiff and no float. I hit a few good bumps on the highway that used to throw my car all over the place. Now the car take the road like a champ. I'm at 2 in the front and 6 in the rear and it rides perfectly, no noise no nothing.
I will post pics later.

I thought upgraded shocks/springs will make the car more bouncy over bad road surfaces?

How would Progess on stock shocks work out on a Maxima?

They would work out about as well as George W Bush Jr trying to score above 1200 on an SAT test.

Your killing me with your comments, you can add a 100 shot of and still dyno at 56hp/12ft-lbs at the wheels with your 1989 Teggie

My next mod has a brick front and will get Pergo flooring as its first upgrade..... You figure it out

You guys are funny. I was lucky that I could break away from the family for a day to do this. Plus it was nice to have access to powertools that usually fix tractors so we had tools out the *** we powefull as hell.

I can't post the pics now because they were blocked by the firewall.

Anyway, I did the drop at a farm which was an experiance in itself. It gives a weird feeling when your working on a car and the ducks and chickens come over to see what you're doing. The ducklings were cute though.

Madd Max: The ride is not bouncy to me. Yes, when you go over ruts on the road the car don't soak them up like they used to because the suspension is stiffer. I thought the car would ride like a Volvo but it doesn't. When I had all of my tools loaded the car road even better.

Craig, I was on stock suspension all of this time.

This morning I put the fronts on 1 but didn't notice anything. I got to get used to them first but being that the ride is on the money, I don't want to mess with them too much.

Organsmic: Not alignment yet but my car needed it before the drop anyway. I'll wait a couple of weeks and do it then.

Now I need to get all of the loose crap out of my trunk because everything is bumping around more.

the #1 proponent of owning a stock maxima is lowered and modded all over the place. nice to hear youve stepped over to the dark side, i had the agxs for awhile amongst my 19 other suspensions and i loved it.

Deezo, next step for you are some light 18x8(.5) rims. Of course you'll need to convert to 5spd just to comphensate for the extra weight. Oh then your gonna need some boost of course...and a body kit, and some interior upgrades....oh and a mesh grille/valances. Oh then you gotta get extensive exhaust work....then gauges....then stuff to make sure your engine doesn't run lean/rich, your also gonna want a short throw shifter and a 5spd ecu/harness when you swap...oh and.....

.......you see my point?

Come on Craig!

I took my family out to dinner last night so I had the car loaded up to see how it would handle the road and it felt great. My wife sat in the back with the baby and sone sat up front. My wife was impressed with the ride which makes me feel even better about doing the drop with this combo. I cut the bump stops about an inch also.

Craig: No SC or 5 speed for me, at least for now. I actually don't need the 5 speed because I can run with them anyway.

Yeah right!!! Don't you know by now that drivers ability has everything to do with quick cars with little to no mods? If I wasn't 240 pounds, I'd be running quicker.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to race his 5spd Maxima from a roll. The clutch and shifter are very easy to master IMO.

So basically a new born baby behind the wheel of a 5spd Max could whip you Deez.

Do you find the ride to be better with more weight in the car?

Do you feel more body flex now? I felt more after getting the H&Rs and have been wondering if the Warpspeed SFCs would be a worthy buy.

Why did you cut the bumpstops?

thanks
