the part i was waiting for was sent to delaware instead of pa.,i ended up getting the part by 4pm instead of 10:30 am. so now i have to wait till monday to get the car back.i was crying, why me. does anybody else feel that way? i love my car.waaaa. question for engineering geniuses: would you prefer more material on the flywheel side of the clutch disk or less. some disks are made with little pads on the flywheel side of the disk because some believe that they will not burn up as fast as more complete disk. which is supposed to kill a clutch. some designes aren't concerned about that and i guess they think that the more the better , so that there will be more to grip the flywheel. what do u think?

If I was putting a clutch in a civic hx I would want the disc with the little pads so it would last forever. For a real car, such as yours, the more contact surface the better. Also, with kevlar and other modern materials their life expectancy increases exponentially so I wouldn't be too worried about longevity. Lastly, I've noticed your mods and strip performance. You have one hell of a car! Could you tell me a little more about what you've done? Thanks.

thanks dude. i have the s/c er. blitz b/o valve. lightweight flywheel,y-pipe and cat back.a larger flowing k&n. i used nitto drags 225/50 on 13 lb 16x7 inch rims.i have 14 lb., 16x7 rims in the rear with 225/50when i race i use sunoco 100 unleaded, a gallon or 2.and now i will have this jwt clutch put in monday,1 side metal, the side that grips the pressure plate. this clutch is gaurenteed to grip when launching. i hope for the lowest 13 or maybe a high 12.with no nitrous.yea boy.i am just a little excited. all of these mods has been effective. i will modify the intake for higher flow and maybe the heads ported and polished, next march, if it's not that expensive.then the car would definately do 12's then. if jwt makes chips for 98's that will really be the helper.
