Hey guys,

I just ordered a pair of rear KYB AGX shocks for my rears. I have the feeling that my rear tokico blues are shot. It seems that they are bottoming out everytime I hit a small bump. Every small groove and bump, I hear klunk, klunk klunk. I feel as if the shocks can't handle the weight of my new system. What do you guys think? Will this help? When my max has a 1/4 tank of gas the rear sags a little, but when the car is full of gas, the rear sags completely to the ground. There is maybe three inches between my ionic rear and ground. I hope that the agx'x will help me.

 

Take the Blues out... Let them sit for a few minutes and see of the rod extends full out. If not, then replace them.

On my old 93 Altima with 150k, the struts did not leak. However, when left alone, the rod would suck full in to shortest length. Good thing I put GR2 replacements! Car handled like a champ afterword, especially w/eibachs!

Toss the rear Blues in the trash. The AGX's will work great back there.

 

KYB AGX ARE THE BEST... BLUES SUX.. from experiance of course...

 

Remember how we pushed down the KYB AGX and the Tokico blues and watched how sluggish the rebound was on the blues compared to the AGX? They were just plain

Maybe you need stiffer springs to compensate for the weight. The AGX will control the ride better with the load.

 

I already have Eibach springs...From my understanding, these are the stiffest springs right? I was hoping that the agx would be able to handle the extra weight as well as have better rebound than the blues. Blues work great in the front but sucks for the rears....I just hope this will solve the problem...

 

After you swap the rear blues for AGX, please tell us how your car rides.
