Got nailed by an old lady! ****

I was driving in the left lane of a two way road goin 45mph. Then out of nowhere, this old black pontiac something pops out out of nowhere on the right side trying to make a left. I had about 40ft to react and this lady was looking the other way and still moving forward. I noticed she wasn't stopping so I quickly swerved onto the opposite side of the road in oncoming traffic(but luckily there were no cars for a distance). But I didn't make it. She nailed the passenger door and pushed me all the way to the sidewalk on the opposite side, stopping right before a mailbox. damn damn damn damn **** **** **** **** ****** ****er son of a ***** *****!!!!

Now I gotta wait 3 days for the police report and another 2weeks for my car to get fixed. Two of my 17s are ****ed up with big dents and the whole lower passenger side is gone. doors, fenders and all.

sorry had to vent somewhere
-Paul

you don't have to wait for anything. I know your car is probably not drivable but start goin around to bodyshops to get an idea. Maybe take a pic of the damage and stuff to show them.

Get alot of recommendations for THE BEST bodyshop around and get the quote. Don't wait for anything, just go do it! I'm sorry your car got nailed like that. I hope you didn't get injured and that the car gets fixed asap.

Let us be honest, better she nailed you than you nailed her! **** unfortunately happens, and most of the time WE get blamed. So it IS good that at least the police determined that she screwed up up and not you. Your Max is hurt and will never be the same, but at least you won't ALSO have to pay for it long term. I agree with nadir_s, start looking for a good body shop NOW, but also start looking for a another Max too. You will NEVER feel the same way about her (you do know that all Maxima's are female, right ?) now that it has been damaged. Sad but true. Think about it.

Sorry man to hear about that man.

When driving, I almost always try to avoid those who have the potential of being a bad driving. That is, when I see an old person.

I had this big conversation with the cop about that. I've known him since I was in highschool and he's a pretty cool guy. He sais there's nothing anyone can do about older people driving. oh well

My car really isn't totaled. It just has damage on all four parts on the right side including the front and back fenders and the two doors. And both my rims are damaged quite a bit. I'm gonna go get an estimate later today. I'll definitely look for the best of the best around here. My car still drives perfectly, maybe the allignment is screwed up but nothing major. Thanks for all the replies. I'll post a pic of the damage later.

Sorry about the accident but a question. Any particular reason why you didn't just stop or just slow WAY down? The accident wasn't your fault, I know this. But not getting into the accident would be the best thing(regardless of who would be at fault).

Good question, and what was the speed limit on this road?
