I;m a huge max fan, thats why i have a max. I also loving moding my car. But heres the delema. Having those nice big 4th gen maxima emblems shows your max pride, but everyone has them. Of course all of us here are max fans, and a lot of you shave them off.
Im just not sure, i love the car, but it looks cool without the emblems. Is it "ethical" to your max pride to shave?

I don't think your dissin' the marque by shaving the emblems; it's just a matter of personal taste.

Personally, I don't like the looks of a 4th gen with the emblem shaved. I think there is just too much flat surface on the rear to not have something there. Besides, I want the honduh owner to know what just ate his a$$ up; after all, that's all he's going to see!

The sticker on my spoiler is the one that Jambo and the "founding fathers" had printed up a few years ago. It reads "WWW.MAXIMA.ORG"

The tail lights are stock. I took the pictures 2 hours before sunset; that must be why they look different.

I also dont like the whole trunk shaved because it leaves that trunk key hole. Maybe if the key hole was gone too it would look allright but here is what I did. I just shaved the Nissan and left the MAXIMA. I think it looks really cool because the tailz, Maxima and key hole are all aligned

i used to have mine shaved back around 96 for the custom look cuz there weren't alot of shaved maximas(atleast none around my place). After a while i start to see shaved maximas so i just paint my emblems and put them back on.

shave only .....

the Nissan emblem everyone knows what make Maximas are and when you win a race whe they see your trunk make no mistake is was a Maxima or Max....just so they know.....and to shave all emblems form the trunk makes the Maxima look like it is missing something leave "something" on,Nissan,or Maxima...etc.etc..
my current and finished trunk...setup....YEAH,YEAH,GTR,I KNOW,IKNOW but I am not the only one with it....HE,HE,HA,HA.
they are centered and up "higher" on the trunk than stock..different....
