I just had a tint job done on My 1992 MAxima. I had 35% bronze all the way around. I didnt roll the windows down for 3 days after the job like they told me. When i finally rolled them down today I noticed something messed up about the tint on the back two windows. When the window rolled down u could see more than a half n inch gap between the tint and window. Let me remind u that this was not on the top of the window, but the side of the window close to the front of the car. Is this the way the tint job can only be done on the 3rd generation Maximas, im pretty sure its not. Im just lookin for input from other 3rd gens that have tint on their cars. I didnt go back to the place yet but im defintiy goin to by the end of the week bc u can also see the 2 piece on the back where they said they were goin to cut into the defogger. Guys please help me with this. Thanks.

Couple of things... you should never get a 2-pc job on the back window. It almost always comes out worse than a 1-pc. If they say theyre going to cut into the defogger I suspect BS... I've taken 4 cars in my family for tinting and all of them did not have this problem, even the ones with a built-in radio antenna. As for the gap, if they window rolls down and back when it comes down, then a gap between the window and the tint is normal. As long as it's not visible when it's up the gap is fine.

Yes it is normal. That is how it was on my 89' Max. they cut the tint on the outside of the window, so when the window is up, that part is hidden.
