problem of starter?

I can not start the car today.

When I turn the key, all I hear is CLICK. I tried several times and still could not start it. (Sometimes I need start 2-3 times for my maxima 93, I can always start it).

What is the problem? I am afraid of starter.

1. Where is the starter? Some posts said that it would be helpful if I tap the starter before I turen the key.

2. how to fix this problem?

Thanks a lot!

I have checked the battery, it is 12.6V, it should be OK.

I guess that the problem is from the starter. Somebody can tell me the cost of replacing (repairing) it. Thanks a lot!

get a rebuilt one for about $80 and install it yourself... not too hard to install.
