got my springs

so i just picked up a set of eibach lowering springs from a friend and was wondering if its a job that i could do myself in the driveway or is it worth it to bring it in to get installed professionaly. also what would be the downside of i used my stock struts(for now anyways) since im about as broke as can get and due to college wont even be near my car for about 3 months.

also what do you guys think of this, a friend offered me a strait swap of his stillen muffler for my stock one, no money involved just swapping the muffler.

Should wait until you buy some new shocks. Save money on installation or the hassle of doing it again.

Well, running on stock struts isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Im running on stock sturts with my B+Gs as well as countless other .org members and we have relatively no problems. If your aching for your car to be lowered, just install them now, if you can wait and really want some aftermarket struts, just wait...

I personally would never trade stock stuff on my car, the only thing thats modified on my car that cant be returned to stock is my muffler since i went the dual exhaust route, other than that, i keep all my stock parts....

The last poster is running on stock struts and B+Gs which might not be so bad, but Eibachs are known to be very stiff and can blow Tokico rears in about 10k miles. If it was a softer spring, maybe I'd say it was okay, but with Eibachs, its a gamble you might end up loosing.

I would get aftermarket struts. Might as well do it all at once to save on time and money if you let somebody else do it.

a stillen muffler is not a direct bolt on to the stock b-pipe, other mufflers like the apex'i ws are not bolt on either...
