Ok...first disclaimer: The damn digital camera sucks "you know what" 'cause some of the pics are bluish...bear with me.

Second..to remind all...this is an engine swap as well as an auto to 5-speed tranny swap/conversion. I'm on Day 4 with about 10hrs of sleep total.

To all naysayers...one engine/tranny (AUTO)combo was removed from the top, while the engine/tranny (5-speed) was lowered...all in all...lowering was right...but raising wasn't that bad either.

One of our biggest obstacle was hooking up the old (95) harness to the 97 engine, to resolve that...we just removed the 97 harness and used it in the 95

Putting in the clutch pedal wasn't that difficult...just too time...as to not make any mistakes.

Overall....the project has be informative and very tiring. I can't stress taking your time with everything...very important. I hope to have it started and running tonight sometime.

Gotta bleed the daggone clutch, install the axles, re-install y-pipe and lower cross member and put the wheels on and I'm golden.

more to come.

hahaha..."magic of the autos" I think I'll pass. I'm so near completion it hurts...everything is in...just a matter of bleeding the clutch system and putting intake...and cranking her up.

Remember, when it doesnt start: The problem is in the ignition. It always is.

yea but here's the schedule of working on the car

Thursday: 5pm-4:30am
Friday: 10am-5:30am
Saturday: 9pm-2am
Sunday: 9am-8pm

So that gives ya..35 hrs on the car, and that includes swapping the body components from 95==>97 as well as all the stupid stuff like gauges and the like. There was two of us working on the car for about 1/2 the time (17.5hrs), and swapping the engine/tranny together was the toughest part...everything else was just time consuming...good luck with yours

I'm trying to buy a used hoist right now, don't really want to put a lot of money into it. Did you really need any other special items, or was it just your basic floor jacks and such?
