Just curios to see just how nice a set of 18's look on a max or even another car.Or if you have pics of 17" ones that would be cool too.I'm thinking of getting them this summer maybe and selling my 17" Chrome Epics. Thanks

I hear....
all MOMOS are very heavy and Chrome 18's too.........rollin' slow......turtle Max/I30.....but looking good over speed/performance everyone has a different goal for their cars is very nice too.......you can get them and got to the 1/4 track and say man I ran___________with 18" Chrome MOMO Arrows,it is odd Stillen pushes MOMO stuff "knowing" they will slow you down so much you will then "buy a S/C" from them....... very good marketing.......

i have chrome momo arrows 17'. they are hella nice... i think they are one of if not the best looking wheels on a max. you can go for the silve ones too, their nice too. the momo's are also very expensive wheels. i don't know the weight on them or how much they will slow you down.

your Max will be buff after turning those very heavy wheels...now that's heavy.....
30lb or so EACH for 17x7.5 and you want 18's let alone buying tires for them.......super heavy weight...

Chrome anything is gonna be heavy and adding all that unsprung weight is gonna slow you down and make you car ride like crap. If the Arrows weigh 30lbs in a 17" (damn, my 16" K1s weigh 16 lbs) with the silver finish, then the chrome will added 2 lbs. Then add on another 25-26lbs for tires. Now you've got a wheel pushing nearly 60lbs. Here's the problem. For every one pound you add to the wheel weight (drive wheels), it's like adding 4lbs on the car. I bet the stock 16" setup you've got weighs about 45lbs. By running the 17" Arrows in chorme, you've added 120lbs [(4X15)X2] in theoretical weight. PLUS, add another 60lbs to the overall weight to the car because of the new wheels. PLUS, the rolling inertial weight of bigger and heavier wheels will also slow you down. Running 18s will only decrease performance even more. The I30 weighs about 100 lbs more than a similiar Max, now with the Arrows, you're going to be super slow. I'd be willing to bet your car would be lucky to break 15.5s@90mph with a set of 18" Arrows. Even with ALL the NA mods.

I knew they were heavy but..........,
not that heavy, but after seeing Victims64's car I am thinking about slowing things down a little. Well I was planing on looking for a set of used ones. I have seen some nice 17" Chrome momo arrows with tires sell for around $900 on ebay so I figured if I could find some 18's I would pay maybe $1300ish. Any pics??? BTW Wicked do you have any pics of your 17's ?? I want to see the rest of you car too not just the engine{which is real nice}.

Lightest and least expensive? The 16X7.5 Kosei K1. They weigh 16 lbs each and cost $169. They only come in 15" and 16" sizes. You can see them on my site. Your next choice would be Volk TE37 which go for about $300 each.

Francis-
I think you misunderstood what I'm saying.
17" Arrows in chrome 32 lbs
17" tires 26 lbs
= ~58lbs per wheel/tire
Added weight vs stock = ~15 lbs
Take (15X4)X2 to get the theoretical added weight the engine is trying to turn. Then add on the extra 60 lbs the four wheels/tires add. So technically speaking, the car thinks you've added atleast 180 lbs plus the inertial mass of the 17-18s ain't gonna help either.
EMAX-
You car will take longer to stop, accelerate slower, and ride worse. You're willing to risk all this for some good looks? It sounds like you've got a butt load of cash because you're constantly buying mods and you currently own two cars. Why not pass up on the overwieght (old news) Arrows and go for something lighter, better looking, and a little more expensive? Moeny doesn't seem to be an issue.
