You have a picture for me? Everything I've seen on the cobra calipers is that they are 2 piston. Two in the back side.
The only 4 piston calipers for the mustang are on the Cobra R ride. Which uses Brembo units.
'99+ Cobra: 13.0x1.1" Brembo rotors, spec'd 40x40 mm dual piston PBR calipers. Rear single piston 38mm Varga Caliper, 11.65" vented rotor

'00 Bullitt Mustang: Same brakes as 94-98 Cobras (unique red PBR calipers with running horse up front, same varga caliper in rear painted red.) Rear single piston 38mm Varga Caliper, 11.65" vented rotor

'00 Cobra R: 13.0x1.1" Brembo rotors, Brembo 4 piston calipers. 36x40mm pistons. Rear disc the same as the stock '99+ Cobras

what does the 42 offset mean ? you guys say some bbk need 36 . i see some wheels on ebay that say 40 or 38 i dont whant to buy they wrong wheels and not fit . i would rather put a 13 inch kit on my car than a 12 inch kit .i have crossed drilled rotors and i can see hot spots on them from a few 125 to 60 lot of trip to fresno im on a budget

Not only is it offset but most importanly spoke design. It took me 2 months to find the right wheel that I liked. I also have a set of 18x8 PCW with 42 offset and they clear Stillen's BBK with no problem.

Some eye candy!
1) Calipers/lines/rotors. Calipers were polished/painted by me.

2) Caliper adaptor bracket. Painted black.

3) Caliper with custom front SS brake lines.

4) Caliper/rotor clearance. No spacers needed on my rims.

1) It's good you asked, so far we have a grand total of TWO orders and we know where that puts us for the GD price. Technically the GD will be ending tonight at 11:59pm EST. The two who did send me a payment I will give them an option if they wish to extend the GD for one more week in the hopes of more coming on and getting a better price on the rings. Just send me a email/pm telling we what you would prefer, extend or not. If it's not extended you two still have a balance due. I need $48 from you two guys and you already know what you have sent.

2) I've also been doing some test fitting and came across some vital info. If you never knew the Z32 caliper comes in two different sizes depending on which yr your caliper come from, 26mm and 30mm. The 26mm caliper came in the 1990 model, all other years had the 30mm. It's in your best interest to get the 30mm calipers, 91 and above. The smaller 26mm caliper will have some clearance issues, I have a 26mm caliper and I'm dealing with the clearance issues. For those who already had their 26mm calipers (like myself) the clearance problem can easily be corrected by installing thins ase shims, which I'll be looking into to correct my problem.

3) And mose importantly, make sure which ever wheel you're planning on using will clear the caliper. Another unforseen situation I'm dealing with.

Some more eye candy. I'm in the process of re-furbishing these wheels that's why the finish looks so dull. I'm stripping the paint/primer down to bare metal and was planning to get them powder coated.

i want a set still.. sorry about the lag.. i just settled in my temp home in hong kong... but if you need a cheap powder coater i can refer you one.. he's really cost efficient, only thing is that shipping is paid buy customer.....

Yeh folks, sorry for the delay. So far I have two confirmed down payments. I've been slowly getting PM's from folks who might be interested. I'm trying to wait and see what they are goin to do. The more the merrier. How long will I wait for a down payment from others, Sunday Jan 18th. By then they better sh*i*t or get off the stool. Same thing happen with the first GD, orders where still coming in even after I placed the order with my machinist.

And for the two who did send in their down payment immediately, my apology. But I hope you understand why I'm delaying this

As of right now I have 4 confirmed down payments and to help the GD I'll buy another set of rings. So current price for the rings are now $43 to your door. Out of the 4 confirmed down payments, one persone sent me $43 while the other 3 sent me $33. So that one person is ok, the other 3 you have a balance due of $10. I think I may have confused some into thinking that the $33 you sent was the final price for the rings.

If 10 or more orders were placed that's the only way the price would have been $33 a set. On the bright side we're half way there, five more confirned down payments and it will be $33 a set. Hope I didn't confuse you more

Anyway, I wanted to update you guys on the present GD. Since my last post we now
currently have 5 confirmed down payment, with a possible 6th from someone who emailed me today. And since I stated I will buy another set let's just say we definately have 6th confirmed down payments

So with 6 confirmed down payments and we only need 4 more to reach the 10 or more sets in-order to get the best price possible for the rings, which is $33 to your door. So spread the word to help your cause

Again I apoligize for delaying this process to the first few who did send their down payment at the very begining. I truely hope you are understanding about it.

I was wondering has any 4th or 5th gen's done the BBK w/ the cobra rotors? did you guys need any modifications/grinding of anyparts? does the cobra bracket fit well???

Keith aka Kmax2988 has performed this upgrade and it looks and fits nice. He did have to work on the inside of the calipers to get the rotors to fit like its supposed to. He posted pics on here and even explained his problems...I think its on page 4 or something.

Note: He didn't use my brackets. He used his own. 4th gen should be plug and play as they are similar to 3-gens. According to Matt93se, the 5th gens have slightly diff dimensions. This was noted and advised before I sent any brackets to any 5-gen owners.

"Once again I’ve turned to Jeff for a little help in posting some info. For the record, I’m still unable to login with CandiMan and I’ve also tried creating a new screen name hoping to find a temp fix but still no luck.
1) I sent a reply to everyone who sent me a PayPal down payment. Hopefully by the time you read this you will have gotten my email.

2) Teddibear703, I tried and my machinist is not willing to honor the $33 per set if we don’t reach the 10 or more orders.

3) Jeff, there’s a two piece OEM Cobra rotor already available by Baer, it’s the Eradispeed+ rotors. Tire Rack has them for $499 a pair but I don’t know if that include the hat, I assume so.

The five confirmed down payments I have are from the following cities, West Valley City, Santa Clara, Buena Park, White Plains and Arcadia. If for some reason you feel you have sent in a payment and your city isn’t listed please email me.

Speaking of email, if you have any question that’s directed to me can you please, please email me directly. Do not use the Maxima.org email system because the .Org email system is down. the dimensions you speak of, are those just the larger holes on the 5th gens?

That and there might be some dimensional difference between the 3-4gen / 5th gen.

Ok gents, I think I'm back

As of tonight (Sat 1/24/04) I've received all balance due from everyone except from two members. These two members live in Arcadia and White Plains. So if you made a $33 down payment and live in either of these two cities I'm still waiting for the $10 balance due. And for the record I have 5 orders, not including a extra one for me.

So we're back online. I've spoken to a couple of you guys already and I was waiting for the board to come back online so I could keep everyone up to date. For the past week I've been dealing with my machinist on a daily basis for him to make my stuff. I've express to him my dislike for not having these rings made. This week my politeness will change. For all those who have dealt with vendors you know final production dates are never written in stone and always pencil in. Sorry for the delay folks.

Any word on 5th gens? I need to replace my brakes and read that this could be done for under $500. I need to find some calipers, rotors, bracket, lines, rings, and pads. Anything else I would need to get? How hard would the install be?

the hardest pieces for you to get is the bracket... contact jeff for them, he made them for us, but i dont know if its still available, you can go w/ the deall that matt has for the 12.6 rotor/300zx combo. its 475 not inlcuding the caliper which will be another 200. $675 total....
