Those with ES bushings...

How do you like them? I know they are stiffer are whatnot. Were they hard to install? I also heard it is kinda like taking your PS up a notch.

They're alright. I just wouldn't make it a special project to replace them. I dropped them in when the suspension was going in.

I put mine on with a suspension change also, so it's hard for me to say the impact they had on the car, but I see no drawbacks what so ever so I can only suggest them, especially since they are so cheap. Don't expect night and day though. They are easy to install, I had no problems. It can be done in an hour taking your sweet time.

i installed them a while ago...a couple months after putting struts and springs on...and i noticed a much more secure and together feel of the car. not to mention it handled a bit better.

mine was better as well...and were done independantly of any other mods...but it did alleviate the problem of a squished stock bushing I had on the sway bar...dont know how that happened...(scratches head)

i would have to disagree with bluebird. I WOULD make it a special project, especially if your max has high mileage. My 96 had around 130k mi when i decided to change out the old, flattened, and rotted ones with ES. The difference was dramatic. I can take corners at least 15mph faster than before and do it contently. I didn't know which bushings you were talking about, but i ended up changing out the control arm, end-link, and fsb bushings. The ride is a little more stiff, but the just feels alot more solid and confident. it all depends on the condition of your oem bushings

I agree with CullenJ76. I did mine on my '97 SE separate from any other mods. Steering feels a little more precise, and the car just feels a little better planted in corners. Mine wasn't a drastic difference, but my original ones only had about 65,000 miles on them. It may have been because my end-link nuts and bushings that were on there felt a little loose to me, so I tightened the new ones down til I couldn't spin the busings by hand. I haven't done the control arm bushings yet, but that is on my "will do eventually" list.
