I have been running A2's for about 3 years now. The newest ones bought from Tirerack and two of them had extreme force out and had to be returned, they replaced them no problem but you should beware if they don't check your tire you will get loud noise.

The way I see it, the volume dealers like TireRack will get a few freebies to sell unsuspecting customers or their buyer is stiffing someone. No reason how these tires make it out of the factory unless something happens with the middleman.

I have the RE950's for well over 25k miles with no problems. I've hit some hard bumps etc... here in NY and the tires hold up great and show almost no wear. They go really good through water and sometimes too good I forget they are not exactly tires made for water and push the car too hard. When I switch the tires long from now I hope, I will probably be getting different ones as I would like to compare them to others, however, they get an A+ from me.

Why don't we need to make up our minds? Buy them and keep them if you want. I'm letting people know to look out for the sick wear factor of these tires because mine blew out within a year. I never even got the chance to race with these tires.
They still grip like a **** but the issue I had is just not common with most tires.

Wow Deezo, glad everybody is ok..

My Kumho Ecstas are on their last season... I don't even take highways for now because all 4 tires are so bald, luckily I have a set of winter tires I bought off a friend for 100 bucks that I'll be slapping on at the end of the month... Michelin Alpin's

Oh yeah, might I recommend the Kumho Ecstas (well, even though you already bought new tires), I've had them since I bought my car in June 2001, no problems whatsoever... I think I'll be buying another set come this spring

hey guys,
I need to replace my tires and am thinking of going 225/60-15, which should fit fine on my stock rims (15"x6.5"). What do you think about it? Not too wide?
Also, deezo, which tires did you end up getting?

thanks

While researching tires, I read about quite a few issues with the A2's. These included side bulges ( twisted belts ), tread seperation and blowouts. Due to this reason I decided to upgrade to 18's so I could have a better selection of tires.....
